# Member profiles

> View a workspace member's role, online status, points, and active tasks without leaving the current page.

Member profiles open as a drawer on the right side of the screen, giving you a quick look at a teammate without navigating away from what you're doing.

<Note>
  Arca never shows a member's email address in their profile. This is intentional, workspaces are sometimes shared with external clients, and you shouldn't have to expose your internal team's contact details just because they're collaborating in the same workspace.
</Note>

## How to open a profile

You can open a member's profile from multiple places:

* **Task detail page**: click the name of the task's creator in the task sidebar
* **Comments and activity**: click any member's avatar in the comments or activity feed
* **@mentions**: click a @mention inside a comment to open that person's profile
