# Search

> Instantly find and navigate to tasks, lists, and sections across your workspace.

Search lets you jump to any task or section in your workspace without scrolling through lists or remembering where something lives. It's the fastest way to get where you need to go.

## Open search

* Press **Cmd+K** on macOS or **Ctrl+K** on Windows and Linux.
* Or press **/** anywhere in the app to start searching immediately.
* Or click the search icon in the sidebar.

## What search covers

Search finds and navigates to:

* **Tasks**: matched by title or Id
* **Lists**: all lists in your current workspace
* **Navigation items**: Inbox, Calendar, Insights, Dashboards, and other sidebar sections
* **Settings pages**: Preferences, Members, Labels, Statuses, Billing, and more

## Search tips

* Type a few words from the task title or section name; you don't need the full name.
* Tasks are searched within your current workspace.
* Press **Enter** to open the first result, or use the arrow keys to navigate and select.

  Use **Cmd+K** , **Ctrl+K** , or **/** any time you need to find something or jump to a
  section quickly. It's faster than clicking through the sidebar.
