If your tasks live in a spreadsheet or another tool, you can import them into Arca using a CSV file. This is the fastest way to migrate existing work without re-entering everything manually.

Import steps

1

Open Settings

Go to Settings > Import / export in the sidebar.
2

Upload a CSV file

Click the import option and select your CSV file. It must have a header row.
3

Map columns to Arca fields

Match your CSV columns to Arca fields: title, list, folder, description, status, priority, due date, start date, assignees, and labels. Arca auto-detects common column names from other tools.
4

Preview and confirm

Review a preview of how the data will look, then confirm to start the import.

CSV tips

  • Title is the only required column — all other fields are optional.
  • Use YYYY-MM-DD or MM/DD/YYYY format for dates (applies to both due date and start date).
  • Separate multiple assignees or labels with commas.
  • If a list, folder, status, or label in the CSV doesn’t exist yet, Arca creates it automatically during import.
  • Priority accepts text values: urgent, high, medium, low.
  • Arca automatically recognizes common column names from tools like Notion, Linear, ClickUp, Trello, and others.
Clean your CSV before importing: remove duplicates, fix date formats, and make sure every row has a title. This prevents errors mid-import.
Completed tasks are not imported. If you want to keep completed tasks, change their status to an active one before exporting your CSV.
