When decisions and feedback live inside the task, anyone who opens it later gets full context instantly. No need to dig through chat logs or ask “what did we decide about this?” Comments keep the conversation attached to the work where it belongs.
Each task has a comment section where the team can discuss details, share updates, and record decisions. Comments are organized as threads: each comment is its own topic, and teammates can reply directly within it to keep that conversation in one place.
- Add a comment using the input box at the bottom of the task detail.
- Use formatting (bold, lists, code blocks) to make longer comments readable.
- Edit or delete your own comments at any time.
- Once a thread topic is resolved, any member can mark it as resolved to collapse it. Resolved threads stay accessible if you need to refer back, but they’re hidden by default so the task stays clean and easy to read.
Mention teammates
Type @username in a comment to mention someone. They’ll receive a notification even if they’re not already following the task, making it easy to loop in someone who needs to weigh in. Mentioning a member also automatically subscribes them to the task so they stay updated on future changes. They can unsubscribe at any time if they no longer need to follow it.
Reactions
React to a task with an emoji to give quick, lightweight feedback without leaving a full comment.
- Click the emoji button in the task detail to add a reaction.
- Reactions are visible to everyone who can see the task.
- The task reporter receives a notification when a new reaction is added.
Use reactions for quick acknowledgments (”👍 looks good” or ”✅ confirmed”) so
you don’t clutter the comment thread with one-word replies.
Keep discussions on the task
When a decision gets made in a meeting or chat, add a comment to the task summarizing it. This creates a permanent record and means your team doesn’t have to rely on memory or search through old messages when they come back to the task later.
